ATN Spinnaker Socks

Whether you are considering an Asymmetric or Symmetric spinnaker, a spinnaker sock is definitely a no-brainer on a cruise. Have you heard the old saw " anyone can hoist a spinnaker, but it takes a sailor to douse it", A spinnaker sock will make you, and your crew such a sailor....

With a spinnaker sock, you will hoist your spinnaker without worrying about getting it back on deck and you will end up enjoying it more often and in stronger breezes.

The sock lets you separate the hoisting and lowering operations from the actual dousing .... since you douse the spinnaker BEFORE taking the beast down, the sock removes all potential problems when getting the spinnaker in...

We offer only ATN brand socks, with a host of clever details that have been thought through a long experience with spinnaker socks...

  • Above the spinnaker head, is a short steel wire, swivel-mounted upon which the sock gets stored in the rolled-up position - better head shape for your sails!
  • There is a different-colored - separate channel in which the control rope slides. This channel separates the rope from the sail, (less friction and wear) and also lets you verify that the sock is not twisted - see the gray channel on the yellow sock on the picture.
  • Oval mouth at the bottom
  • Mesh construction
  • Continuous single control rope.

See below - Don't they wish they had a sock!....
